Millerfoto is a North Queensland photography business based in Townsville. With Photographer Hayley Wright (Miller) being born in Tully, North Queensland herself, she will travel the eastern coast north to Cairns, including all those special little towns in between to help create memories and capture those special moments with North Queensland families.
In 2010, as an 18 year old school leaver she left the small town of Tully to make the big smoke of Townsville her new home. Like all young school leavers, she had huge ambitions and dreams to chase. Her first year in Townsville she studied a Diploma in Photography and began to lay the foundations of what would one day become Millerfoto.
It’s been over 5 years since Millerfoto has been active. A lot has happened in these years both exciting and some disheartening from marrying husband Craig, building a brand new home, becoming a crazy cat lady by becoming foster parents to hundreds of homeless cats and kittens and even dogs, to adopting 2 more of her own cats and an old dog to complete the brood.
Some of the harder times to overcome was her Dad passing away suddenly in 2016 and most of all, while she never put down a camera officially, the love and passion for photography had diminished and it became more of a chore than anything.
Fast forward to 2020, the house is still being filled with the homeless, neglected and abandoned pets of Townsville and she’s still volunteering a lot of her hours to the charity, but there is a new burning desire inside again to take photography to a new level.
Millerfoto will now be specialising in pet and family portraits. A style of photography that is light, bright, natural and full of life for everyone. Creating natural photographs of families enjoying each other’s company, capturing those special moments when you need someone and celebrating your family pets.
